Messingham Farm Nursery Staff

Wise Owl nursery is very proud of it staff. Our staff members have all been recruited through our vigorous recruitment procedure to ensure they can provide the best care and education for our children. Another benefit is that all our staff members really care about the children and the nursery and are driven to help the nursery succeed in its vision to be a centre of excellence in childcare and are continually undertaking training and further qualifications to offer the best service possible.

Ms Toni Krajnik - Managing Director

Ms Toni Krajnik - Managing Director

I was born in Scunthorpe, completed my degree in Psychology at Manchester and went on to a Masters degree in Psychology at Hull, before becoming a qualified teacher. I then became head of two departments at the former Thomas Sumpter School in Scunthorpe. My main roles at Wise Owl are to oversee the running of the nursery and to ensure the teaching is of the highest quality.

Melanie Smith - Nursery Manager

I have worked within the Wise Owl company for 5 years. I started off as a volunteer to gain a level 3 in childcare. I was then employed by Wise Owl. During this time I have completed a degree in Early Childhood and worked my way up through the roles to nursery manager.

Imogen Darley - Deputy Manager

Imogen Darley - Deputy Manager

I started at Wise Owl Nursery Messingham in December 2014. During this time I have achieved a Level 6 BA HONS degree. I usually work in the Wise Owl room but will be covering Mel's job role as Manager while she's on maternity leave. I have a little boy, Harvey, who also comes to Nursery with me. When I'm not at Nursery I spend time with Harvey and my family, we often go for days out and weekends away.

I started at Wise Owl Nursery Messingham and Wise Owl Kids Den Bottesford in January 15. I have a level 3 in childcare. I work within the Wise Owl room, I thoroughly enjoy working with children of pre-school age.

Emily Hall - Nursery Nurse

Emily Hall - Nursery Nurse

Emily is a qualified level 3 Nursery Nurse and completed her apprenticeship with the company. Emily works at Bottesford Kids Den for the breakfast and afterschool club but you will sometimes see her working in the rooms in the Nursery too. Emily's confidence has grown since being qualified and is a valued member of the Wise Owl team

I started working for Wise Owl in March 2017. I run the 2-3 year old room and I have 6 years of nursery experience as well as three children of my own. While working for Wise Owl I have worked within all 3 of the Nursery rooms. I enjoy planning exciting, interactive activities for the children which combine their next steps and interests.

Michaela Din - Nursery Assistant

I have recently started an apprenticeship with Wise Owl Messingham. I enjoy working with children and hope to gain a level 3 in childcare. I'm 19 years old and am currently based in the baby room.In my own time i enjoy singing and also cooking at home. Once i have gained my qualification in childcare i hope to move up through the job roles in the nursery.

I have worked at Wise Owl Messingham for over 3 years. I have worked my way up through the roles from Baby room leader to senior nursery nurse to Kids Den Manager. I really enjoy my new position and love new challenges.

Penny McCoid - Room Leader

I started working for Wise Owls nursery in September 2017 and whilst being here I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and have been supported by numerous staff. I have completed my BA Hons in early childhood education and I have two children Ryan 11 and Kacie 6 who are my pride and joy. I will be running the Wise Owl room from January 2019 and I am excited for the new challenge ahead.

I have recently started my apprenticeship at Wise Owl Nursery. I have a Level 3 in health and social care and I am currently working towards a Level 3 in childcare. I enjoy working within all of the rooms at nursery and have lots of fun encouraging the children to join in with craft activities.

Michelle Pattison - Senior Nursery Nurse

Hello I am level 5 qualified and have Worked with Children for about 8 years. I started off as a baby room leader and worked my way up to Nursery Manager. I left in 2013 to go on maternity leave hoping to go back after my maternity leave ended however that didn't go as planned as i had to leave in order to become a full time carer to my little girl who was diagnosed with a terminal illness in 2014. I went on to have a little boy in 2015 and sadly my little girl passed away in 2017. I went back to work at my original nursery in September 2017 but wanted to move closer to home so i started working at Wise Owls in March 2018 and i am really enjoying getting to know all the children and parents.

Annie Henderson - Nursery Nurse

Annie Henderson - Nursery Nurse

Annie has worked for the company before when completing her Apprenticeship at the Scunthorpe Nursery. Annie has many years of experience working in different Nursery settings and has come back to Wise Owls in Messingham and will be working in the Wise Owl room with Penny and Amy. Annie will be a key worker for some of the children in the Wise Owl room and will be working closely with parents and children to ensure that all children are learning and developing in a stimulating environment

Amy Jellis - Nursery Assisstant

Amy has started with us as a Nursery Assistant working in the Wise Owl room, she has been made a key worker and has made some lovely relationships with both parents and children. Amy is going to be completing her Level 3 in Childcare and wants to become a teacher after volunteering in schools
